The original Catalan character is preserved throughout this atmospheric 2-bedroom apartment that can sleep up to 4 guests. Located in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter next to La Rambla, the central location leaves nothing to be desired.
Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and brick walls impart old-world character to this Catalan building in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. An open and roomy living room is central to the apartment, with an attached kitchen and dining area to the side. A hallway leads to two separate bedrooms, each holding two single beds. The sofa in the living room also converts into a comfortable double bed for additional sleeping space. The kitchen is complete with all tools you’ll need to prepare an amazing meal, and the bathroom is refreshingly modern with a toilet, shower, and designer glass-top washbasin. For your entertainment, relax in front of the flatscreen TV or open the glass doors to your own 5th floor balcony looking down on the bustling streets below. This apartment is a great value and offers location, comfort and style all at an affordable price.
Important Information:
La Rambla was once a river bringing water from the hills to the Mediterranean. Long since dried and paved, it is now a central pedestrian throughway that divides the historical Old Town. This dynamic public space is filled with tourists and locals, congregating along the treelined streets in hundreds of restaurants and cafes or taking a leisurely stroll to admire the passersby and the ubiquitous street performers that make a respectable living on La Rambla. The street stretches between the upscale Plaça de Catalunya, which marks the end of the medieval old town, and the monument of Christopher Columbus, which guards the Barcelona Yacht Club and leads to the Mediterranean coast.
A high concentration of bars, cafes, boutiques and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the apartment will offer something to satisfy any taste. The nearby Placa Reial is the undisputed nightlife center of the neighborhood, and besides serving as a meeting point for patrons of the upscale and cutting edge nightclubs surrounding the square, the Placa often hosts free concerts and festivals in the summer months.
The Liceu metro station, named for the nearby landmark Liceu Opera House, makes getting to and from your neighborhood a breeze.
