Relax with your guests on the large sofa and get comfortable in front of the large flat screen TV also provided for everyone’s entertainment. The sofa also adapts to make a bed for two of your guests at night time. The two private bedrooms are simply designed to encourage a good night’s sleep. One room has a double bed whilst the second has two singles. Both are equipped with attractive storage furniture for your clothing and belongings as well as reading lamps above your pillows. Meal times are easily taken care of in the fully fitted kitchen also incorporated in the apartment. This is a great way to save money on your holiday since eating out in the city every day can be extremely expensive. Enjoy them together served up and the excellent dining table and chairs. After dinner why not step out onto the beautiful balcony and enjoy a glass of wine whilst enjoying the warm evening breeze. You will find the apartment located, as you might expect, just minutes away from the huge Plaza Catalunya in the Gothic Quarter. This massive square measures 50,000 square metres and is the meeting point for La Rambla and Passeig de Gràcia, two of the city’s most famous shopping streets. Whilst the latter is famous for its high end retail stores including Tiffany and Gucci, La Rambla is an altogether different shopping experience. This pretty tree lined walk way is transformed daily into a manic maelstrom of shopping and entertainment activity. Make your way south towards the coastline whilst elbowing your way through hundreds of shoppers, buskers, mimes and some incredible human statues. Perhaps avoid the area altogether if you are with very young children as it could be quite overwhelming for them.

For a more relaxed afternoon why not visit the beautiful Plaza Real. The name translates as Royal Square and just one glance at the beautiful architecture will tell you are somewhere very special indeed. With its tall palm trees and Antoni Gaudi designed lamps it is a hugely popular place for locals and visitors to meet up and enjoy a cool drink or a meal. If you enjoy people watching then this is a great place to come and relax and enjoy the vibrant energy around you. In the evening many people come here to begin their night out, going on later to the many nightclubs that are in and around the square.

It is easy to access Barcelona’s visitor attractions with the aid of the excellent metro system. The nearest stations are Catalunya at the north end of the square and Urquinaona to the north east. Both are approximately a five minute walk away.
