Sleeping up to 6 guests, the 2-bedroom Enjoy Plaza Real 3 apartment is perfectly located for all your adventures in the city.
Inside this wonderful 19th century building you will find an outstanding holiday home decorated with fresh white and blue walls creating a certain sophisticated coolness. The refurbishment of the building has been sympathetic to its age and exposed wooden ceiling joists are visible in some parts of the apartment. Relax with your guests on the big contemporary sofa that also converts easily into a double bed for two of your guests. A flat screen TV is also provided for your entertainment and pre-installed with international channels. The open plan kitchen is perfectly designed for you to prepare meals for yourself and your guests with ease. Eating out in the city everyday can be extremely expensive so this is a great way to save money and also enjoy healthy sociable meals together. A stylish dining table and chairs is also provided. The private bedrooms are calmly designed to encourage a good night’s sleep. Each room is fitted with two single beds that can be pushed together to make a double or divided if you so prefer. You will find plenty of excellent storage here for all your travel essentials and of course your clothes. The apartment has its own private bathroom fitted with a shower, double sink and toilet. Unfortunately due to the building’s age it is not possible to install a lift. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor and for this reason it may not be suitable for some visitors including elderly or very young guests.
The delightful Enjoy Plaza Real 3 apartment is located tantalisingly within the actual world famous square of the same name in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. You will find it in the corner of the plaza just seconds away from all the action! This delightful city square attracts hundreds of visitors daily who come here to meet friends and enjoy the laid back atmosphere, a drink or a meal in the sun. Popular with both locals and visitors it is a great place to people watch and get a taste of the city’s vibrant energy. Admire the stunning architecture of the square including the fabulous street lanterns designed by Antoni Gaudi. His artistic influence is almost impossible to ignore in this, the most creative of European cities. On New Year’s Eve this is the place you surely want to be in Barcelona and the square is transformed into an open air concert hall during the annual September La Mercè festival.
Just a few minutes’ walk away is Las Ramblas, possibly Barcelona’s most famous and certainly liveliest street. Take your time exploring the stalls and look out for the unusual bird sellers with their singing colourful caged birds. You will be met by street theatre acts, mimes and buskers and you will find gift shops, all kinds of charming cafes, eateries and traditional old-world shops. Look upwards and admire the incredible architecture of the buildings but also be on you guard for pickpockets. You are sure to find a real cross section of Catalan society as well as the international visitors to the city in this vibrant market place.
For a cultural artistic afternoon why not visit the Miró Museum. This is certainly one of the city’s most popular visitor attractions with over half a million people passing through their doors every year. This art gallery hosts a huge range of Miro’s work going back as far as 1914. There are plenty of his lesser known sculptures, tapestries and early sketches to enjoy here as well as his more popular paintings. To get to the gallery you can take the fabulous Montjuic Funicular railway up the hill from Paral-lel metro station.
The nearest metro station to the apartment is Liceu, just a 5 minute walk away.
